HATHA YOGA
The name Hatha is derived from Ha (the sun, the outer self) and tha (the moon, inner self). The aim of Hatha yoga is to bring the two into balance. Hatha yoga combines the spiritual with physical movement in order to create balance in the body. Asanas are postures that focus on a specific body part and Pranayama is a technique of breathing and breath control which regulates energy flow and aims at maintaining energy balance.
Another important aspect of Hatha Yoga is meditation. Yoga is helpful for those wishing to improve flexibility, coordination, physical power, stamina, balance, muscle tone, lengthening and strengthening of muscles and improving mood. It also aids sleep as well as energy levels and clarity of mind.
